Serious criminal charges result from alleged drug deal gone bad
Getting caught up in a negative situation can happen to anyone. Some individuals may find themselves involved in criminal-related activity and question how they ended up there. Still, if parties are suspected of having committed a crime, they will likely be taken into custody and have criminal charges brought against them.
It was recently reported that three individuals in Tennessee were taken into custody in relation to a homicide and drug-related activity. Apparently, authorities were contacted about gunfire in an area, and when they arrived at the scene, they discovered a person who had been fatally shot and another person who had suffered injuries. The deceased individual was reported as being a man but no age was given, and the report did not include information on the wounded person.
Authorities purportedly determined that the death resulted from a robbery that stemmed from a drug deal. Police took two individuals into custody. A man was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and criminal homicide, and a woman was charged with accessory after the fact. A third individual turned herself in later, and she was charged with accessory after the fact, drug possession and evidence tampering.
Cases that involve serious criminal charges and multiple allegations can be complex. Each individual accused in relation to this Tennessee incident will certainly want to make sure that he or she carefully reviews available legal options. Having this knowledge may allow them to determine the ways in which they would like to move forward with their defense presentations if they choose to create them.
