Drunk driving charges brought against 2 Tennessee drivers
Having a drinking problem can cause anyone to make bad decisions. In fact, this issue can cause people to lose control of their lives. Unfortunately, serious criminal charges could result for drunk driving if parties are unable to refrain from getting behind the wheel after consuming alcohol.
It was recently reported that two individuals in Tennessee were charged with DUI. Police officers had stopped the vehicle of a 27-year-old man after they reportedly saw him driving the wrong direction on a roadway. While the traffic stop was being conducted, a 44-year-old man crashed his vehicle into one of the police vehicles, which then struck the second police vehicle. The incident resulted in minor injuries to the older man, and the report did not mention whether any other injuries resulted.
The driver who struck the police car was charged with driving under the influence and driving on a suspended license. It was noted that this allegation is his fourth DUI charge. The driver that the officers had initially stopped was also charged with driving under the influence. It was not mentioned whether either individual was still in custody at the time of the report.
Feeling out of control in life can affect anyone with a substance abuse problem. Now, these individuals may want to try to gain some control as their criminal cases for drunk driving move forward. The details of each Tennessee man’s case are different, and it is important to remember that each has his own viable routes for addressing the allegations he faces.
