Drug charges brought against man in connection with overdoses
In hopes of effectively handling criminal charges, individuals who have been accused of a crime may wish to remain as calm as possible. Though this action may seem difficult as accusations of drug charges can have negative consequences on a person’s life, staying level-headed may help parties determine their best courses of action. Additionally, remembering that they do not have to face the situation alone may help individuals feel more at ease.
One man in Tennessee may be hoping to stay focused and in control after recently being taken into custody. Reports stated that the man has allegedly been accused in connection with two non-fatal drug overdoses. Apparently, two individuals overdosed on heroin, and testing purportedly discovered that the drug contained fentanyl.
It was not clear in the report what caused the man to become a suspect in the situation. Nonetheless, he was taken into custody for allegedly supplying the heroin. He was booked in a county jail for possession of a controlled substance. It was noted that there was no information regarding whether he had obtained legal counsel at the time of the report.
Individuals who are facing drug charges in similar situations may wish to review their options for creating and presenting criminal defenses. As with any criminal allegation, parties in this type of predicament have the right to defend themselves. If they feel that they do not fully understand their options or how to go about addressing the charges brought against them, they may wish to consult with experienced Tennessee attorneys who could act as advocates throughout the process.
