A person of practically any age could end up in a serious situation if he or she breaks the law. It was recently reported that a 75-year-old woman was taken into custody in Tennessee. Apparently, the woman was deemed “King Pin Granny” by authorities after they began an investigation relating to suspected drug-related activity. The investigation reportedly resulted in police officers obtaining a warrant to search the woman’s place of residence.

The search allegedly resulted in authorities locating over 1,000 prescription pills. In addition to the medications, $12,000 in cash and other property were also confiscated during the search. As a result, the woman was taken into custody on charges relating to manufacturing, selling and possessing a controlled substance, possession of a legend drug, possession with intent and evading authorities. At the time of the report, she had been released from custody on a $50,000 bond. It was unclear whether any other individuals were persons of interest in this case.

The drug charges leveled against this Tennessee woman could result in serious consequences.
