2 Tennessee men facing drug charges after traffic stop

Reports stated that the two men were inside a vehicle when an officer stopped the vehicle due to the driver not wearing a seat belt. After the stop, the officer asked to search the vehicle, and the driver declined.
The officer then asked the men to get out of the vehicle, and the officer allegedly saw that the passenger had a large of amount of cash in his pocket as well as a cigarette case with a plastic baggie. This information apparently led to the officer searching the man and purportedly finding 10 grams of heroin on the passenger. The officer also allegedly found a needle and two grams of heroin on the driver. As a result, the passenger is facing charges for drug possession for resale, and the driver is facing allegations of drug possession, DUI, possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to wear a seat belt.
The drug charges and other allegations brought against these men could considerably impact their lives.
